Northfold Studio

Small studio,
careful work.

Northfold is a two-person design practice based in Porto. We build brand identities, editorial layouts, and quiet websites for small teams who care about the details.

About

We started Northfold in 2019 after a decade of working inside larger agencies. The idea was simple: take on fewer projects, spend more time on each one, and stay in close contact with the people we're working for.

Most of our clients are between two and twenty people. Founders, small publishers, independent shops, and the occasional research group. We like that scale—close enough to talk directly, big enough to have something real to say.

What we do

Brand identity Marks, type systems, and the guidelines that hold them together.
Editorial design Books, reports, and printed matter where the layout has to earn its keep.
Web design Hand-built sites—usually static, always fast, easy to maintain.
Ongoing support Small retainers for teams that need a designer on call, not a full agency.

Get in touch

We take on three or four projects a year. If you'd like to talk about one, write to us with a short note about what you're making.
